Cropped Sweater - temp shot

I wanted to try my hand at an off-the-shoulder crocheted top that was quick and easy, but I couldn't find a pattern that I really liked. So, I pulled out my crochet magazines and pattern books as reference material and set about making up my own. Even though I had never crocheted clothing before.

I still have one or two minor adjustments to make to the pattern, not to mention sizing it for worsted weight yarn, so there will most likely be another one of these in the near future. I'm thinking stripes in Red Heart Super Saver in Charcoal and Perfect Pink. Or maybe Charcoal and Delft Blue. Idk, yet.

This is a crappy pic that I had my mom take from my phone. It's a "temp shot" b/c I intend to update later, after I get my friends to help me take a way better shot of the top. But I was too excited to wait and wanted to share this with everyone.

Yarn: Cascade Yarns 128 Superwash 100% Merino Wool (less than 640 yds, but a little more than 512 yds) which equals 5 skeins with plenty left of the last one.
Hook: Handmade wooden hook I purchased from a yarn shop before it closed down. Average size (I believe is H or 5.00 mm)
