Hey guys!!

Wow, I didn't realize it had been so long since my last journal update (January :iconlegaspplz: )! Well, for those that may have wondered, I am indeed still alive. :D :happybounce: :huggle: to all that missed me!!

I have checked in once to twice, just to keep my watches down below a certain number (otherwise, I just press delete without giving the artist's work a fair glance *ducks produce* ) ^^;

Anyway, I really should submit something new soon. Maybe some ACNL qr codes. I could share one or two of them. lol

Also, on the crafty front, my Cropped Sweater pattern is almost ready to test. I just need to do the sleeves (super quick and easy) then wash (please God, no felting or foul stench!! :faint: ) I am hoping that won't be an issue this time out, since I'm using acrylic fiber instead of wool.

I have also been thinking about doing some ACNL villager doodles. And some of my Mayor, of course. :D And maybe some fanart of Tony DiTerlizzi's Wondla trilogy. I love it so much!! They just released the final book!! :excited: Naturally, I need to re-read the first two (I own the first one, but I have to get my hands on the second).

I have an old pair of jeans I want to up-cycle, but I'm still deciding what exactly I want to do with them. Right now, they are faded with small holes on the inside corners (where the pockets are sewn to the jeans). Basically, if you're looking at my butt, you can see the holes, however, in the grand scheme of things, I doubt too many would notice. :blush: I also have a couple of old tank tops I don't wear (except as a last resort/laundry day). One's purple and the other is green. They are way too tight. ^^;

My craft list is ridiculously long. :D I have been working on knitting legwarmers (still only on the first one, but I'm about half way - dpns are weird; I am also using a lifeline and tinking when needed). I'm also knitting a shawl, working on the edging for my grandmother's dishcloths, an amigurumi for my cousin, and designing a Skyward Sword themed crochet (potentially knit) shawl. Still mostly in my head, though. ^^;

So, yeah. . .lotsa stuff I want/need to do. Also, Skyrim is fun and I haven't recently been introduced to Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Wii. Totally addicted and loving Ghirahim (I hate villains as a rule, so it surprised even me when I fell for him). I love pairing him with Link, too. *hides* Don't hit me! ^^; (I've also never been one for hero/villain pairings.)

Sorry for the long update, guys!! Just wanted to catch you up!! Keep your eyes peeled for some new submissions!! :iconmonkeyloveplz:

Called out of work due to icy bridges. So, I can't decide if I want to play games or craft. lol :iconlazyplz:

So, I just found out that I need to trade my car in before it dies on me. She decided she was going to not start for 45 minutes after I got off work (during which I sat there and texted my dad and my roommate about it) ^^; . I will be lucky if I can get $500 for her. Doesn't surprise me, though, since she has just been getting worse and worse in the last year. And I so can't afford a car payment on top of my bills. :tears:

Also, I just got renter's insurance for our apartment. Our neighbor's make us twitchy; they keep setting off their smoke alarms. :iconimworriedplz: I am aware that it is technically only for me and my things (not my roommate's), but it's better than nothing, atm.

Well, back to my little car. There was nothing obvious that I could pinpoint as the reason it wouldn't start. Everything seemed to work as it should. Dash would light up when the key was in. Steering column worked alright. Check engine light was off. Dad says it could've been the ignition or the starter or wiring, but that there wasn't anything a garage could do until it actually died. And the parts are like $300 by themselves. :faint: He also googled the problems and it turns out a lot of other people who owned this particular brand have had similar troubles. And that when they had these problems, there was no fixing them, as they steadily got worse until they had to replace their vehicles. One way or another. :iconsadfaceplz:

I am temporarily down to one job, as I can't really count on my second job to work me on their schedule during one of their slowest months of the year. But they want to keep me, so I might get a day or two this month. So, if my first job calls me in, I will be taking it. I usually only get about 2-4 days a week (but at least one of those shifts is 8 hrs and another one is about 6 hrs). Not much, considering, but it's better than the seasonal help's 4 hrs two days a week.

If I thought I was good enough, I would offer crochet commissions, but alas, I don't foresee that until maybe next year at the earliest (when I might actually have something worth commissioning) as well as a better portfolio. I guess those really go hand in hand, huh? :confused:

I love how my roommate :iconsora5651: calls me a lovable nerd because of my Pokemon fanaticism. lol

:iconpikachuglompplz:

Also, she finally bought a 3DS. It just so happens that it is also the Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds version with the triforce on it. So jealous right now!! But since I have Pokemon X for my 3DS, I am considering getting the red Pokemon 3DS that has Yveltal on it because it comes with Pokemon Y free to download with purchase of said 3DS. That way I can trade with myself, making it slightly easier to get the Pokemon I need to complete my Pokedex. For once. lol

Yes, I am a nerd and proud of it. :D

So, I am moving tomorrow into my new apartment with my roommate. We have set up the electric and water to be turned on then, so if all goes well, I will only be off the grid for a short time while we find a decent priced wireless internet provider. A couple of weeks maybe. :D Though you may here from me via mobile blogging.

I still have all of my books and yarn to pack up. Luckily, I won't have to actually box my clothes, so that saves me some boxes for my books. I will be using bags for my yarn. Well, most of my yarn. I already boxed up my leftover yarn. I just haven't touched the stuff for current and/or future projects. :iconlazyplz: And I seem to have caught some sort of sinus cold. It's not my usual sinus cold symptoms, but I'm not overly concerned because I am only two days into the cold. :iconimsickplz:

My mom has been way more affectionate of late. For those of you that don't know me outside of dA (which is all but like 5 of you), I am a HUGE Mama's Girl. Yes, capital letters. I love her and don't know what I would do without her. She is also one of the only people I am openly affectionate with. She taught me how to bake cookies and cook and be responsible and all of the other things a mom should do. She's the type of mom that my friends adore, and for the most part, it's been a mutual adoration. :love: I definitely think that the Best Mom Ever award would be hers. She disciplined me (i.e. spankings, time outs, grounding, washing mouth out with soap) and I still love her for that. Even more so when I see all of those disrespectful little brats that run around nowadays. She taught me to show respect for everyone and to always be kind, even when I didn't want to be. Also, she taught me that what goes around comes around. She also taught me how to be tough and stand up for what I believe in.
She has always wanted my happiness and has done whatever she could to ensure that I am happy. I love her a lot. Also, I am only moving down the road, which is, like, a 2 minute drive from my parents house. lol ^^;

So, now that my emotional mama splurge is temporarily out of my system, Dad has been a big help and my family has been super supportive. I made sure to let most of them know that I am moving because if I don't, someone will get butt-hurt and stop speaking to me or will at least bring it up at the next family party. I did have one of my grandmothers offer to buy us $300 worth of stuff for our apartment.  I told my roommate this and she was ecstatic. I can't blame her. :D
